Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA)

Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Therapy is considered the gold standard for autism treatment. Early intervention is ideal, as it capitalizes on the brain’s ability to map new pathways and build circuits that are functional. Regardless of the stage of development, ABA can support your child’s behavior as well as social and communication goals.

Guiding Light Behavioral Therapies is committed in providing a family centered scientifically proven Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapy to children with Autism and other Developmental Disabilities. Get started today and ensure your child receives the highest standard of interpersonal, evidence based, and quality ABA services today!

The following five steps must be completed before beginning services with Guiding Light Behavioral Therapy.  If you have any questions regarding this process, please don't hesitate to contact us at (832)-772-8862.

NOTICE:

In order to be placed on our wait list, you must apply below. Once you complete the insurance verification form, you will automatically be placed on our wait list. Waiting times can be as short as 3 weeks to as long as 3 - 5 months. These times vary due to several factors including your child's availability to participate in therapy and also the availability of a technician and/or BCBA.

Step 1

Complete the online insurance verification application. The information in this form helps us determine if your health insurance provider covers ABA therapy. To complete this form, you will need your insurance card and relevant demographic information. If you don't have all of the information on hand, you will be allowed to save and complete the form at a later date.

Step 2

A member of our staff will contact you to discuss therapy and funding options based on our review of the benefits offered by your insurance company.

Step 3

A Guiding Light team member will work with you to schedule an in-depth initial assessment of your child. Once an assessment is scheduled, you will need to finish (if not yet completed) the online intake application. We cannot conduct the assessment until consent for assessment and treatment have been given.

Step 4

Following the initial assessment, treatment recommendations will be determined and submitted to the insurance company. If an RBT is unavailable, we will hire and train a new technician to work with your child. The hiring process could be as short as two days or as long as six weeks. We make every effort to provide staffing for your child as quickly as possible.

Step 5

After your behavior technician has received the appropriate training to work with your child, we will schedule an initial meeting of all team members to include the parent, child, behavior technician and BCBA. The next session will be the first and full ABA session with your child and the behavior technician. Depending on the experience level of the behavior technician, the first full ABA session may also be supervised by the BCBA.
